Saw my boss turn a 3 hour brake job into 45 minutes just by cleaning his bench first
My lead tech Mike used to spend forever hunting for tools, sockets everywhere, air hose under a pile of rags. One Monday he got fed up, dumped everything on the floor at 6am and sorted it into two rolling carts with labels on every drawer. By that Friday he was knocking out brake jobs in 45 minutes flat while I was still digging through a bucket for a 13mm. Turns out half his time was just walking around looking for stuff, not actually turning wrenches. Any of you guys do a big shop reset like that, or is it just chaos everywhere?
