Pulled a dented quarter panel on a 2018 Civic in 20 minutes and felt like a wizard
Last Tuesday was weirdly smooth, every panel lined up first try and I only burned through one sanding disc on a door respray in Tucson. Does anyone else get those random days where the metal just cooperates, or am I jinxing myself asking?
That "felt like a wizard" line is spot on. I had a day like that last month where a rear quarter on an old Accord popped out clean on the first pull and the paint matched dead on out of the gun. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop on days like that because they're so rare. Most days I'm fighting clips that snap and gaps that won't close no matter what I do. When the metal cooperates you just ride it and don't ask questions. You're not jinxing anything, enjoy the win while it lasts.
