Fixing my kid's toy changed how I view dent repair.

Everyone says you need high tech tools, but a simple hammer and dolly often work better. I learned that from a plastic car.

Ever see someone fix something big with just basic tools? My buddy popped a huge dent out of his bike fender with a rubber mallet and a block of wood, said it made him rethink everything lol.

Right? @the_sandra, that totally hits home. I once fixed a totally stuck car door handle with just a flat-head screwdriver and a pair of pliers (the mechanism had slipped, and I was sure I needed a whole new part). Getting it to click back into place with those basic things felt like a magic trick. It really does make you question all the times you assume you need some special tool or a pro to fix simple stuff. That kind of win just changes how you look at every little problem around the house.

My dad fixed our washing machine with a butter knife and a prayer.

Nah, sometimes you DO need the right gear. Try fixing a real car frame with just a hammer and you'll make it way worse.
