Cleaned out my old toolbox and found 37 different dent pullers.
I was sorting through my dad's old gear from the 80s shop, and I just kept finding more of them tucked in every corner. It hit me that we used to need a specific tool for every little curve and crease, and now I just grab the slide hammer kit for almost everything. How many specialty tools do you guys still use that the new stuff made obsolete?

Man, I bet half those old pullers have never even seen a dent, have they?

Lol, my buddy swore by his old door skin spoon until last year. He finally tried a modern puller on a job and was shook at how much faster it was, kinda proves @anna_ellis88's point about some tools just collecting dust. The new gear just gets it done.

Used to think all those old tools were just clutter. Seeing that pile of dent pullers changed my mind. Each one solved a specific problem they had back then, before the good slide hammers came out. It shows how much the basics of the job have actually stayed the same, even if the tool got better. Makes you respect the old ways even when you use the new stuff.
