A pigeon flew into my shop and sat on a fresh clear coat for 20 minutes
Last Tuesday a pigeon got into the shop through the open bay door and landed right on a hood I had just cleared. I stood there with a tack rag in my hand watching this bird walk around on $300 worth of wet clear, and I could not yell because the paint was still flashing. Eventually my boss Dave came out of the office, saw the bird, and just said 'well, that's a texture package.' I had to sand the whole hood back down, and the bird hung around for two days like it was an employee. The worst part was the little foot prints, all four of them, baked right into the coat. Any of you deal with birds or cats getting into your booth, and how do you keep them out without closing the doors all day?
Dave calling it a texture package is killing me, that's exactly what a shop boss would say. Honestly though, if you hung one of those cheap plastic strip curtains across the bay door it would stop the birds without shutting the whole shop off from the air.
