My astrophotography save count hit 4,000 and I had to stop and think

I was going through my external drive last night, the one I use for all my stacked shots from the past 6 years. The folder count hit 4,000 frames from just my Orion Nebula sessions alone, which surprised me because I never thought I captured that many. It made me realize how much time I've spent at my spot near Lake Travis in Texas, waiting for clear skies. Anyone else ever check their total file count and feel a little humbled by the effort?

Man that really puts things in perspective. I remember doing a similar count once and realized I had like 3,000 shots of the moon that all looked basically the same, just different phases. Felt both proud and slightly insane at the same time.

Did you catch that article about how many photos people take of the same thing before they finally stop? @thomas_torres, 3,000 moon shots is dedication. I've got a folder of like 800 pictures of my dog sleeping, same vibe.
