Overheard a guy at the DMV say he brought a fake ID to speed up the line
He told his buddy the trick was to use an expired license from a different state so they just wave you through without checking - has anyone else seen people try weird stuff to skip the wait at the DMV?

Ha, that's actually pretty clever in a stupid way. I used to think expired IDs were useless for anything, but hearing this makes me wonder how many people pull that off. I can totally see a bored DMV worker just glancing at the photo and waving someone through. Definitely sketchy but I'm almost impressed by the hustle.

Oh totally, "James Bond level trick" is killing me. Like sure, maybe someone thinks they're slick whipping out a three year old license, but the real secret agent move is just bringing a book and some patience. Ngl, I've definitely sat in that DMV chair for way more than an hour though, especially if you go to one in a busy city. Honestly, the hustle part is the only thing that bugs me, because if everyone starts doing it then the bored worker stops being bored and actually checks. Then we're all stuck there longer while someone gets a lecture about fake IDs.

I mean, come on, is waiting an extra fifteen minutes at the DMV really "speed up the line" worthy? People act like the DMV is some kind of maximum security prison or something, you just sit in a chair for a bit and then you're done. I've been to the DMV maybe five times in my life and it's never taken more than an hour, tops. I just don't get why everyone acts like it's this huge ordeal you gotta pull some James Bond level trick to get through.
