Why does nobody talk about how wrong the Pyramids timeline is on social media?

I keep seeing posts claiming the Great Pyramid was built in 10 years by slaves, which is just not true based on the quarry marks and worker village evidence we have from the 1990s digs. My buddy is an Egyptologist in Cairo and he rants about this every time it pops up on his feed. How do we get basic facts like construction time and labor force to stick better online?

Oh man, this drives me crazy too - my cousin worked on that 90s dig site and he still gets heated about the slave myth whenever someone brings it up online. The worker village evidence is so solid but people just ignore it for a cooler story.

Heard someone at a party once insist the pyramids were built by aliens because 'no way regular people could stack rocks that neat.' Tried to explain the worker village thing and she just waved her hand and said 'that's what the government wants you to think.' Couldn't stop laughing.

Lol @the_thea at least your aliens story beats my flat earth uncle's rant last Thanksgiving.
