Update from the field: My friend's team found cave paintings in Spain

They were checking a remote cave system. The art shows animals and hand prints. It might be from the Paleolithic era.

Andrew's right, they're all over the place. I saw a whole wall of them in a cave system out west, dozens of them. Makes you wonder what the big deal was with leaving your mark like that. Taylorgonzalez has a point about it always being hands too. Maybe feet were just harder to stencil without falling over. The whole thing feels like a basic human urge, to say "I was here.
