Shoutout to the team at the Sutton Hoo dig who kept calling that helmet 'the king's crown' when the evidence is way more mixed up.

Wait, what's the actual evidence against it being a crown?

You think kings were buried with swords and shields, @ellis.faith? It was a helmet, not a crown, because it was found with soldier stuff. The whole setup just screams warrior, not royalty.

The helmet was found in pieces near a sword and shield. Honestly, that makes it more likely to be war gear for a soldier, not just a fancy crown for a king. The whole burial is a bit of a puzzle.
