I mean idk maybe it's just me but it feels like everything's following the same pattern lately.

Totally get that. In my experience, you gotta SHOW them how hands-on skills save money in the long run. Keep track of repeat jobs and point out the pattern, because certificates don't mean much if the work isn't done right.
