Found a letter I wrote to my old college roommate in a box of books
I was cleaning out my garage in Denver last month and found a box of my old school stuff. In a worn copy of 'To Kill a Mockingbird' was a folded piece of notebook paper, a full apology letter I wrote to my roommate, Sam, after a huge fight in 2012. I never gave it to him because I was too proud, and we stopped talking after that semester. Reading it now, all the dumb stuff I said about his band feels so small. Has anyone else found an old unsent apology and just felt a weird mix of sad and silly?

I found an unsent email to my sister from 2015 after a stupid argument. I finally sent it last year and we talked for the first time in ages. It was worth swallowing my pride.

Found an old journal from high school with a whole page where I practiced apologizing to my friend for missing her birthday party. It was so over the top, like I was writing a speech for court or something lol. Makes you realize how huge those small things felt back then compared to now.
