Had to choose between a flight to see family or a long train ride, picked the train and it was a weird mix of good and bad.

That weird mix is so real. Had a trip once where the views were amazing but the guy across from me talked about his pet lizards for three straight hours. You get the quiet time to just stare out the window, but you're also kinda stuck with whatever vibe the train car decides to have that day.

Train travel is the universe's way of reminding you that time is not money, it's just something you lose slowly. You get to see the country but also get to know the weird smell of the dining car way too well. Was the weird mix mostly good or mostly bad?
