The $80 limited edition blu-ray set that's still sealed on my shelf
I bought that fancy collector's edition of a mecha show back in March because the tin case looked SO cool in the unboxing videos, but I never actually opened it since I already streamed the series. Then my friend came over and asked why I'd drop that cash on something I'll never watch again, and honestly I had no good answer. Anyone else got a pricey anime physical item that's just gathering dust, and how do you justify keeping it?

The part about never opening it because you already streamed it is what gets me. That's like buying a book because the cover looks nice and then never reading it. At least pop the plastic and admire the tin once in a while, it's not doing anyone any favors sealed in the dark.
