Spent $80 on a 1920s census microfilm, found my great-uncle's fake name

I was tracing family history and dropped $80 on a microfilm roll of the 1920 census. Turns out my great-uncle listed himself as a "machinist" but the handwritten note in the margin says he was actually a bootlegger. Has anyone else found a family secret hiding in official records that just made you laugh?

Check court records too, those often tell the real story.
