Hit day 211 on my Roman Empire map project, never planned to go that long
Started a little thing back in January where I would add one small detail per day to a map of what Rome would look like if they kept going east past Persia. Thought it would last a week. Yesterday was day 211 and I just finished the canal network for Mesopotamia. That number hit me hard. It went from a joke to like a third of my free time. Has anyone else had a hobby project just swallow them up like that? How do you know when to call it done?

Careful, day 211 is not a third of a year, it is closer to two thirds. A year is 365 days, so a third would be about 122 days. You passed that back in May. Small thing, but if you are tracking numbers that close, it is worth getting right. The canal network for Mesopotamia in 211 days is still nuts though.
