Warning: My recycling app's algorithm keeps judging my mistakes
I use an app that scans items to tell me how to recycle them. Sometimes it gets confused and labels normal stuff as trash, which makes me second guess every toss. I end up stressed about accidentally hurting the planet. Does anyone have a simpler way to handle recycling without this guilt trip?

Actually, those apps can be a helpful starting point. In my experience, they get better over time as more people use them and correct the data. Feeling a little guilty means you care, and that's a good thing. Maybe keep using it as a guide, but double-check with your local recycling rules if something seems off. It's better than just guessing and hoping for the best.

Friend ditched her app after it called her plant pot trash.

Been there lol. Those plant apps can be way too harsh. Tell her to check the actual light in the spot and feel the soil before she listens to an algorithm. Most of the time it's just a watering or light issue, not the pot itself. A human check always beats an app's guess.
