That AI job screening tool flagged me for "lack of growth mindset"
Applied to 40 jobs on LinkedIn. Got rejected in 3 minutes flat from one I was perfect for. HR later told me the algorithm scanned my resume and saw a 2 year gap from 2020. Anyone else getting dinged by automated filters for totally normal life stuff?

The gap probably means you were coasting, not growing - the algorithm might be right.

Yeah that's kind of a harsh way to put it though. I feel for anyone who's on the receiving end of that kinda feedback, it stings.

Hit another angle altogether - maybe the gap shows you were being held to the wrong standard, not that you were coasting at all. Sometimes algorithms and managers look for the wrong things, you know, like they value visibility over actual steady work. @rowan969 I'm with you that it's brutal either way, but maybe the sting is partly because the feedback is just off.
