Am I the only one who saw a fire alarm panel in a weird spot at the new library downtown?

Honestly, I was at the new public library in Springfield last Thursday and they put the main fire alarm control unit right behind the main checkout desk. It's a Notifier NFS2-3030, and the techs ran the conduit in plain sight down a painted column. Tbh, it looks clean, but I can't help thinking about service access if that desk ever gets remodeled or expanded. Has anyone else run into a spot like that where the architect's plan made you scratch your head?

What's the clearance like behind it? That's a future service call nightmare.

Exactly, you can't even get a screwdriver back there. They're basically asking for a stripped screw or a broken clip the first time someone tries to fix it. The design looks good on paper but forgets that real people with tools need to work on it. Who signed off on that install?

Man, I had to use a stubby screwdriver and swear a lot, just like Mason Lopez said.
