Swapped my 3/8" ratchet for a 1/2" drive on engine work and kicked myself for 15 years of stubbornness

Hate to be the one to say it, but better late than never, right? I bet you felt like a real genius the first time you actually torqued a bolt down without cussing at your knuckles. Now you get to go back and redo 15 years of work, maybe with some actual feeling in your fingers. Enjoy that new-found sense of power, but don't get too cocky - you'll probably still strip a transmission pan bolt tomorrow.

Funny how life works that way. Once you finally learn the right way to do something, @riley_wood84, you realize how much time you spent just getting by with the wrong methods. It's like that with a lot of stuff - nobody tells you the trick until you've already messed it up a dozen times.

Better late than never" is right, but man does it sting when you think about all the time you wasted. I've been there too, learning some basic trick that would have saved me years of frustration. It's enough to make you wonder what else you're still doing the hard way.
