Spent $40 on silicone air fryer liners and threw them out after 2 weeks

I bought a pack of those silicone liners from Amazon thinking they'd make cleanup easier. First couple of uses were fine, but then I noticed my fries were getting soggy. Turns out the liners block airflow something fierce. My chicken thighs came out steamed instead of crispy. Ended up tossing the whole pack and going back to just wiping the basket with a paper towel. Anybody else have better luck with the parchment paper ones instead?

... and that's why I just use paper towels and a little elbow grease. Never got the hype about those silicone things. My buddy tried the parchment liners and said they work better but still not as good as bare basket action.

Bro, it's just an air fryer, not a space shuttle.

Ray's got a point about the silicone things, honestly. Angela's right that it's just an air fryer but the way people obsess over accessories for them is like they're trying to reinvent the wheel. It's the same pattern I see with those fancy coffee makers where everyone buys thirty different gadgets before admitting a simple drip machine works fine. Sometimes the basic way really is the best way.
