My $40 AI voice tool saved me from a week of typing

I dropped $40 on a little AI voice-to-text tool called Whisper last weekend. I had to transcribe three hours of interview audio for a project and was dreading it. Ran it through the tool and got the full text back in about 10 minutes, almost no mistakes. Did anyone else try a budget AI tool that actually worked better than you expected?

I mean, that's amazing for $40. I've been dreading a similar transcription task and this gives me hope.

Used to roll my eyes at people saying AI tools could actually save time on stuff like this. Then I spent a whole weekend fighting with a 3 hour interview recording and gave up. Tried one of those cheap transcription services last month and it wasn't perfect but it got me a rough draft in 20 minutes. Definitely changed my mind on what's possible now.

Did you check if it handled the different voices okay or did you have to label who was talking after? That's usually the part that takes me forever.
