That $150 meal kit subscription I fell for hook, line, and sinker

I signed up for one of those meal kit services back in March, lured in by a fancy coupon. Three weeks later I realized I had spent $150 on tiny bags of spice mixes and vegetables I could have bought for half the price at my local grocery store. The portions were laughable too - I had to supplement with extra rice and chicken almost every time. The final straw was a recipe that called for 'two tablespoons of pre-minced ginger' in a tiny plastic tube. Has anyone else fallen for this kind of overpriced convenience trap, or am I just bad at math?

The pre-minced ginger in a tube is the biggest scam in the whole meal kit industry honestly, you can buy a whole ginger root for like a dollar and it lasts way longer. Those tiny spice packets are hilarious too because you're basically paying three bucks for a teaspoon of paprika that costs pennies in bulk at any grocery store. The math just doesn't work for most people unless you literally have zero kitchen skills and need someone to hold your hand through boiling water.

Yeah those tubes gross me out. Still bought one last week though because I couldn't find a fresh ginger that wasn't shriveled.
