Spent $800 on a 'smart' kitchen gadget I've used exactly twice
I bought a fancy sous vide machine last year thinking it would make weeknight dinners amazing, but the prep and cleanup time just kills it for me. Now it's a $800 paperweight taking up a whole cabinet, and I feel like a total sucker. Do you have any expensive purchases that seemed like a good adult upgrade but turned into a total waste?

Ugh, I feel this so hard. I dropped a ton on a fancy espresso machine that promised cafe quality at home. The whole process is such a chore that I just go back to my cheap drip coffee maker every single time. Biggest regret buy ever.

You actually went back to drip coffee? That's wild to me. I would be too mad about wasting the money to ever touch the cheap machine again. My stubborn side would force me to use the expensive one every day just to feel like I didn't get ripped off. The regret would fuel my morning routine.

Man, my air fryer is the same story. It was supposed to be a game changer for quick meals, but it's just another thing to wash. The basket is a pain to clean, and it's so loud. That thing lives on a shelf now, and I'm back to using my regular old oven. Total waste of counter space and money.
