Tbh, my way to hang shelves without stud finders is foolproof.

Honestly, I tap the wall and listen for solid spots instead of using a stud finder. Ngl, testing with a small nail first saves so much hassle. It never fails me.

I finally found a better way after my family storybook dream stalled

For a long time, I wanted to write a book about my dad's childhood stories to share with the kids. I bought a recorder and set aside time each week to talk with him. But life got busy, and the notes piled up in a drawer untouched. I felt bad every time I saw them, like I'd let him down. Then, during a car ride, my son just asked him about growing up, and Dad told a great tale right there. It clicked that the real goal was hearing the stories, not making a perfect book. Now, I keep my phone handy to record those chats when they happen naturally. My tip is to capture family memories in the moment, without the pressure of a big project. It keeps the connection alive and the dream from feeling lost.
