Can we talk about family collabs in digital art showcases?
Lots of folks in digital art circles say that your showcase should only have polished, finished pieces. I get that, but I think it misses something. My brother and I started making digital art together during lockdown. He's not an artist, but his ideas push my art in new ways. We made a series of pieces mixing his rough sketches with my clean lines. When I posted them, some people said it was messy, but many loved the energy. Now, I always include at least one collaborative piece in my portfolios. It reminds me that art doesn't have to be perfect to connect with people. What do you think about mixing fun family projects with polished art in showcases?
