I always thought that advice was just something neat freaks say. But last week I was making dinner and had a sink full of dishes by the time the food was done. Took me 45 minutes to clean up after eating. Next night I tried washing stuff while the onions were cooking and between steps. Whole cleanup after dinner took maybe 10 minutes. Felt like I discovered fire or something. Why did nobody tell me the math on that works out so different? Has anyone else had a basic kitchen habit click way later than it should have?
