Automating your blinds based on sunrise sounds smart, but it's ruined my sleep.

5:30 AM sunrises in July had my blinds shooting up like a curtain call... I almost threw my phone at the wall the first time it happened. Setting a minimum time never even crossed my mind, that's genius. Now I'm wondering how many mornings of sleep I lost before figuring it out...

My last apartment had the same sunrise setting disaster. Julia_chen51 is right about keeping that manual button close by. I ended up just using a plain old timer outlet for mine instead.

Totally get that. The early light in summer is brutal. Had the same problem with my smart blinds last year. Fixed it by setting a minimum open time, like 7 AM. Now they only auto-open if sunrise is after that. Also, keep the manual button handy for weekends.

Smart move keeping that manual button. Tech is great until it decides you're waking up at dawn on a Saturday. The minimum open time is a lifesaver, honestly feels like the most basic setting these systems should have built in. My old ones didn't have it and I had the same rage at the wall moment. How many times did you hit the button before you found the schedule fix?
