The Walmart receipt that made me cancel my streaming pile-up
I added up every app subscription I forgot about last month while standing in the checkout line, hit $86 a month for stuff I barely open, so now I dumped all but one and put the rest on a shared family plan with my neighbor for $12 total, has anyone else done a full audit like that and actually stuck with the cuts?
My buddy Dave in Ohio did the same math back in March and figured out he was paying $94 for seven apps. He cut down to two and talked his sister into splitting a family plan, but then about six weeks later he caved and added back two of them because his kids kept asking for one show. The weird part is he says he doesn't even miss the other three now and the $70 he saves covers his gas for the whole month. I keep telling him to write down what he actually watches for two weeks before he pays for anything again. So yeah, the cuts can stick, but only if you're honest about what you truly use.
