Rant: My robot mop almost ruined my new floors during a remodel

I was in the middle of redoing my kitchen and let my robot mop run overnight. It got stuck on a loose tile and scratched up the fresh laminate. Now I always clear the area and do a test run first. Just a heads-up for anyone using bots during home work.

Automation creating more manual work is hilariously ironic.

Is this why I make more work for myself, @bailey.miles?

Classic tech move where the "fix" just becomes your new full time job. You end up babysitting the system more than you ever spent on the original task. The whole point gets lost and you're just doing different, weirder work.

My friend's automated spreadsheet creates more hand-entered data, pure irony, @verab38.
