Scoring a Sega Genesis from a garage sale always came with a story from the previous owner.

Now buying old consoles online feels empty without that personal touch. Hearing how they played it with their kids added to the charm.

Honestly makes you wonder what it was about those old stories that hit different. Was it just knowing someone actually loved the thing, or something else?

Absolutely, it’s the stories that gave them character. Really missing that human connection now.

Wasn't it better when you could learn about the people behind a product? @avery_flores17 is right, stories gave everything a real feel. Now it's all ads and empty talk, you know? I miss stuff like how a company would tell you about the family that made it, not just push a sale.

Yeah that's why I dig up founder interviews now. Found some cool stories just searching "[product] + how it started" on youtube.
