My view on cleaning furnace filters regularly flipped

I thought washing out the furnace filters every shift was just busywork with no real benefit. After our energy monitor showed a 15% drop in power use with clean filters, I had to change my mind. Now we do it daily, and the furnaces run smoother with less wear. It saves money and cuts down on energy waste too.

Ever notice how we ignore simple fixes until we see the cost? Like how I used to leave my car's check engine light on for weeks, then got a huge repair bill for something small. Or skipping oil changes because the car "seems fine," only to have the engine wear out faster. Hard numbers make the hidden cost real, and suddenly that boring maintenance feels urgent.

That 15% data would change anyone's mind.

Totally, I've seen hard numbers change stubborn minds at work all the time!

Ever had numbers ignored anyway?
