PSA: My fish tank chore made me remember my old ocean dream

When I was younger, I dreamed of being a marine biologist and swimming with dolphins, but I gave up because science classes were hard, lol. Cleaning my tank last week, I got stuck just watching the fish for like an hour. It made me see that I still care about that stuff, so now I help at the aquarium on weekends.

Yeah, classic move ditching the marine bio dream because of a few tough classes. Now you're just doing it for free on weekends instead of getting paid for it.

Honestly getting paid can ruin the fun stuff. At least this way he still loves it without all the pressure.

lmao yeah @jamesr34, you really got me there. I guess volunteering at the aquarium is my weird way of paying the universe back for bailing on orgo chem. At least now the stingrays don't give me grades.
