My cousin thinks he knows more about laminate than me after watching one YouTube video

Honestly, it's exhausting having to correct him every time we talk.

Last year I spent three months trying to convince my brother-in-law that glue-down laminate was a bad idea for his basement. He saw some video and that was that. I agree with what tyler_bennett59 said about saving your breath. It stopped being about the floor and started being about winning an argument. You pick your battles, and a floor someone else has to live with is not a good hill to die on. Save that energy for when your own project needs help, and let him learn the hard way when his planks start buckling.

Calling it exhausting to correct him seems like a lot for laminate. It's just flooring, not a life skill. If he wants to believe a video over experience, that's on him. Save your energy for things that actually matter.
