My uncle said the same thing about his retirement fund last year. I had to look it up too.

My cousin dropped that exact line at a barbecue two summers ago. I spent the whole drive home trying to remember what it meant. It's one of those phrases people say because it sounds smart. I finally had to google it on my phone while my partner was getting gas.
