I lost $500 on a 'sure thing' crypto tip from a guy on a livestream

It was about a coin called 'ZetaMoon' that some guy on a finance stream kept pushing. He said it was about to blow up, so I put in $500 right before bed. Woke up and it had dropped over 90%. The whole thing was basically a pump and dump, and I fell for it. Has anyone else gotten burned by following advice from those random online streams?

My cousin lost a grand on something called "MoonPump" last year from a similar stream. Those guys get paid to talk up the coin, then they sell the second their viewers start buying. The only sure thing in crypto is that a stranger on the internet is not your friend. You gotta check if they own any of it themselves, which they almost never admit.

Right before bed" is always the worst time to make money choices. I once bought a whole set of fancy kitchen knives at 2am because an infomercial guy made it sound so simple.

Check if the streamer's chat is full of bots first.
