The great grocery cart return of the windy Walmart lot

Last Tuesday, I was loading my bags into the car when a cart I'd just let go rolled across three empty spots and tapped a brand new SUV. No damage, but the owner saw it and gave me a look that could freeze coffee. I had to walk over and say something, right? I just mumbled 'sorry, wind got it' and pushed it to the corral. But now I'm stuck. Do you always have to chase a runaway cart, or is a gentle nudge toward the general area good enough if no one's around?

My friend Jake went through that exact mess, @vera_robinson36. His coffee maker just died right before his morning meeting. The thing was totally fried, no warning at all. He had to run out to the gas station for that awful burnt coffee. It ruined his whole morning vibe, honestly. Just one of those stupid little things that throws everything off.
