My neighbor's package got delivered to my house again and I'm stuck

It happened yesterday, a big box from an outdoor store addressed to the guy two doors down. This is the third time in six months. The first time I walked it over, the second time I left it on his porch, but this time I'm just tired. I don't know him well and he never says thanks. Part of me wants to just leave it by my trash cans for him to find, but that feels petty. What do you do when being a good neighbor starts to feel like being someone's free delivery service? Has anyone set a boundary on this without causing drama?

Just leave it at his mailbox.

Totally get where you're coming from, @wood.eric. I actually used to do that all the time without a second thought. Then I had a package stolen right off my own porch last year and it completely changed my mind on just leaving things. Now I always try for a hand-off or a hidden spot if it's safe.

Mailboxes are actually federal property. Carriers aren't supposed to leave packages in them, just mail.
