I finally called out a client for layering too many active ingredients
Had a regular come in last week with raw patches on both cheeks and she was using a vitamin C serum, retinol, and a lactic acid toner all in the same morning routine. I told her straight up she was overdoing it and she got defensive at first but admitted her skin felt tight. Anyone else deal with clients who won't admit their own routine is the problem?

Yeah that's a lot of bouncing around even for a competition routine.

Oh come on, is she trying to audition for a pogo stick commercial or what? You can barely keep track of all those jumps and spins before she even gets to the actual technical elements. I guess if you're going to cram three different bounce moves into one routine, you better have the stamina of a marathon runner. Might as well throw in a trampoline next time for good measure. What's next, a flip off the balance beam into a cartwheel?
