I finally noticed the difference after switching to a standing desk for 3 months

My back pain was gone by week 6 and I stopped getting that 2pm slump where I'd zone out for 20 minutes. Did anyone else's focus actually improve after ditching the chair or am I just lucky?

Ha! I tried a standing desk and spent the first week looking like a confused flamingo shifting from foot to foot. My focus improved mostly because I was too busy focusing on not tipping over.

Wait, you actually teetered that much? 😂 I've heard people say standing desks take getting used to but I thought that was just an exaggeration. Your poor ankles must have gotten a workout.

@lilya76 sounds like you needed an anti-fatigue mat more than a desk!
