Debate: Was my best Friday ever actually a fluke or a sign to change things?

I had a Friday two weeks ago that was just unreal. Everything went smooth at work, no call-offs, no equipment breakdowns, the trucks all rolled out early. I even found a pallet of product that had been missing for like three weeks sitting behind a stack of empty bins. Felt like I was on top of the world. But then I got to thinking, is that kind of perfect day actually a good thing or a bad thing? Like, on one hand it shows that when things click, we can really crush it. On the other hand, it made me realize how normal it is for everything to go wrong, and how I just accept that chaos as the baseline. I guess I'm asking, do those rare perfect days just make the bad ones feel worse, or do they prove we should be aiming for that every day? Has anyone else had a freakishly good day that made you question your whole routine?

Ha! Man, that perfect Friday just sounds like the universe setting you up for a slap in the face the next week.

GASP! @kim.jake you have SO got that right! I swear it's like the universe gives you one perfect day just so it can sucker punch you with a broken garbage disposal and a surprise root canal the following Monday. I've had that happen where I walked into work feeling like a million bucks, only to have my boss dump a last-minute project on my desk that took me until 9 PM to finish. It's like the cosmos is sitting there laughing while it lines up your week with a flat tire and a kid's forgotten permission slip due that same morning.

Four days later you're dealing with your check engine light and a flooded basement.
