Just spent $80 on a thermal camera for my phone... and it actually found a short in a laptop board I was ready to scrap

Love seeing tools pay for themselves like that. My cheap thermal cam showed me a hot spot on a power supply cap that looked fine otherwise, saved a whole TV. It's exactly what @the_jana said, finding that one weird spot changes everything. Felt like a detective solving a case. Those little cameras turn a guessing game into a quick fix.

Remember how we used to just guess and swap parts. Now you can see the heat and go right to the problem. It turns a frustrating chore into a satisfying fix.
