TIL a solid method for tracing phantom voltages in conduit runs
Was getting false positives on my tester until I realized induced voltage from parallel conductors was the culprit. Isolating each leg with a low impedance meter cleared up the confusion fast.

What if it's not induced from parallel conductors?

Considering @evaf12's query, alternative induction mechanisms could involve time-varying magnetic fields from other sources. For instance, a nearby solenoid or even Earth's magnetic field might induce currents under certain conditions. It's worth exploring these avenues to fully understand the system's behavior...

That reminds me of a buddy who kept getting weird readings on his multimeter. He spent hours checking connections before realizing his neighbor's ham radio antenna was causing the interference. Sometimes the source isn't where you'd expect, lol.
