Tried Facebook Ads vs Google Ads for my firm and one was a total flop
Dumped $500 into Google Ads last month and got maybe 2 clicks from people looking for divorce lawyers 3 provinces over. Switched that same cash to Facebook targeting Edmonton locals and got 14 leads in a week. Has anyone else had way better luck with social ads for personal injury work?

I ran a similar test with my own firm last year and honestly Google Ads was way more consistent for us in the long run. We put $300 into Google and got like 8 calls from people actually looking for help, while Facebook gave us a ton of leads that ended up being tire kickers or people who couldn't even afford a consultation. Might be worth checking your keyword targeting and location settings because I think you can block out those random provinces pretty easy. Facebook's algorithm can be hit or miss depending on your niche, but for personal injury I've seen way more serious cases come through Google search intent.

Found the same thing when I tested both platforms last year. Google Ads brought in people who were actively searching for a solution, so they were way more likely to book a consult. Facebook gave me a bunch of likes and comments but most of those leads just ghosted me after a few messages. I ended up spending about $250 on Google and got 5 solid leads that turned into 2 closed cases, which was a pretty good return for a small test. Facebook took $200 and I got one person who actually showed up, but they couldn't afford the retainer. For any kind of professional service where timing matters, Google search intent feels a lot more reliable.

Read somewhere that Google Ads works better once you dial in your negative keywords.
