Hard disagree. "Not even trying" IS the hustle these days. People spend years building that network and reputation so it looks effortless.

Right? I had a buddy who was a musician and people always said he got lucky, but he'd been grinding in basements for like a decade before anyone noticed. That's the point @kimmurphy is making - the "overnight success" is usually years of showing up when nobody's watching.
