Why does nobody talk about how many people give up on learning an instrument?

I was looking at my old guitar case in the attic and found a receipt from 2008 for lessons I never finished. It said I only went to three out of twelve sessions I paid for. Has anyone else started something like that and then just stopped?

Wait, did you actually read the recent comments? They're talking about noisy keyboards, not giving up on instruments. The original post is about quitting guitar lessons. It's a totally different topic.

I get what you mean about finding old gear, but sometimes the judgment is fair. That loud mechanical keyboard might be fine for you, but it drives roommates or coworkers up the wall. Some things are just objectively disruptive in shared spaces, nostalgia or not.
