Met a guy at a bus stop who told me his dream had a rule about not looking at the moon

Last Tuesday I was waiting for the 42 bus downtown and this older guy sit down next to me and starts talking about his dreams out of nowhere. He said in his dreams if you look directly at the moon it turns into a giant eye and starts following you. So he always walks with his back to the moon in dreams. Stuck with me because now my brain does the same thing and I get nervous if I glance at the moon in a dream. Has anyone else picked up a random dream rule from a stranger like that?

Huh, I see it the other way - dreams are your own rules, not someone else's.

I think you misread, the moonwalking thing was just my joke.

The 42 bus downtown - man I take that same line sometimes and now I'm gonna be looking over my shoulder at the moon stop. But wait, you said he walks with his back to the moon in dreams? So he's literally moonwalking through his own dream world? That's wild to me. I could never pull that off, I'd trip over a curb or something and wake up with a jolt. So does he just shuffle backwards everywhere or does he do that slow careful backwards walk like you do when you're backing out of a tight parking spot? I'm trying to picture it and my brain is short circuiting.
