TIL my garage had 47 empty paint cans from 7 years of projects

I was cleaning out the garage last weekend to make room for a workbench and I counted 47 empty paint cans stacked in the corner. Turns out I spent about $230 just on paint for half-finished shelves and touch-ups that I never actually used. Has anyone else gotten blindsided by how much leftover paint they've been hoarding?

Dude I'm 100% with you on that. I've got like three half-finished model kits sitting in my closet and a wood carving set I bought last year that I've used exactly once. lmao the worst part is I keep convincing myself 'this time it's different.'

My buddy Matt went through a phase where he bought all this leatherworking gear. Like a whole kit with tools, dyes, patterns, the works. He was gonna make wallets and belts for everyone for Christmas. I think he cut one piece of leather, messed it up, and now it's all in a bin under his workbench. Whenever I'm over and mention fixing a strap on something he just gets this look and changes the subject. It's funny but also kinda painful to watch because I know he spent a lot on it.
