Discovered the $3 trick for fixing squeaky floorboards without any fancy tools
I had this one spot in my hallway that drove me nuts every night, and a buddy told me to just sprinkle baby powder into the gaps and work it in with a soft brush - it actually silenced the squeak completely in about 2 minutes flat. Has anyone else tried this or got a better quick fix for old creaky floors?

Drove you nuts every night? It's just a floorboard squeak.

You ever notice how the smallest annoyances are the ones that stick with you the longest? I swear it's like our brains have a special filter that amplifies little stuff like that while ignoring the big problems. A floorboard squeak, a dripping faucet, a fridge that hums weird - they drive you crazy because you can't control them and they're always there. Meanwhile you could have a crack in the foundation or a leak in the roof and somehow you just deal with it. It's like life's way of testing your patience with these tiny persistent things that feel so much bigger than they actually are.
