Navigating visa rules as a remote worker felt like solving a puzzle blindfolded.

I mean, the paperwork is insane, idk.

Absolute nightmare. The rules are made to break you.

Yeah, "the rules are made to break you" is so true. I've seen it with stuff like school permit forms that bury important details in tiny print. What helped me was always asking for point-by-point explanations when things felt off, like when a policy said "timely submission" without a clear deadline. I made them give me exact dates in writing. It's frustrating, but pushing for clarity can turn their vague rules into something you can actually use.

Seriously, that written dates trick is smart. What happens when they just refuse to clarify though? Like, have you ever had them double down on the vagueness? I hit a wall with an old apartment lease that said "routine cleaning" for the security deposit. They wouldn't define "routine" and just pointed at the clause. Felt totally set up to lose money.
